EA lifts “NCC Best Platoon Trophy 2075”

Einstein Academy (EA) has lifted the “Best Platoon Trophy 2075” of the 14th Batch of NCC Senior Division held in Kathmandu on February 17, 2019.

Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Ishwor Pokhrel handed over the trophy to EA’s Platoon Commander Rakshya Thamsuhang amidst a Graduation Ceremony at Raj Dal Barrack’s Ground, Lagankhel, Lalitpur.

Of the total 15 Platoons from 13 different schools, EA won the “Best Platoon Trophy 2075” due to the disciplinary act shown by its cadets, teamwork, cooperation, friendliness, high sprit, high morale and most importantly the spirit of never quitting.

Einstein Academy has secured first place in Girls’ Shooting and second in Boys’ Shooting. Similarly, Girls’ team has also finished second in (1.5 miles) Running Competition.

In the individual category, Sumit Chaudhary of the Academy has stood second in Boys’ Swimming Competition while Santosh Rai, Commanding Officer of Lalitpur - comprising three Platoons - EA, Blue Bird and Adarsha Saula Yubak – was the Best Speaker of the 14th Batch of NCC Senior Division.

After the graduation, Commanding Officer Rai expressed his happiness for being the part of NCC. “The training has changed my life. I have become a complete new person. I can feel strong and confident both physically and mentally.”

Citing the importance of NCC training, Rai opines, “Such trainings by NCC is a great opportunity for the youths like us as it helps to overcome with our hesitations and develop the confident level to deal with the hurdles.”

On the same occasion, 35 cadets of EA including 18 boys and 17 girls graduated during the ceremony. Of the total 514 cadets, there were 251 boys and 263 girls from 13 schools who had made it through to the graduation.
